LOS PAVORES DEL TORNALOCO

Monument Fountain in Frías. This building was raised as part of Frías city’s Codes of Law eight hundreth Anniversary not only to evoke the political event with a modern reminder element but also to celebrate eight centuries of the Art History. The kids’ hands printed on the wall of the fountain are an emotional symbol of what the city needs in order to create its future.

The design and manufacture of the fountain have been made by artists Jorge Baldessari and Fernando García and ordered by the Frías City Council.

 

Exhibition in the open air of urban art, sculptures and installations of six artists that could be seen during the spring of 2003 at the Sculputures Park of   Barakaldo (Bizkaia).

 

Fernando García presented a 6 m metal tube sculpture called “Grúa en Danza” (Dancing Crane).

It is an allegory of the transformation experienced by the city of Baracaldo.

 

The work belongs now to the City Council of Barakaldo and remains at the Sculptures Park.
